Project summary
Compared with other embedded systems research communities, including design automation (EDA), compilers or signal processing, the real-time and the more recent cyber-physical systems communities suffer from the lack of uniformly accepted benchmarks and even models on which to evaluate algorithms and solutions. Correspondingly, and not surprisingly, there is lack of consensus on what is realistic or applicable. The problem is not a minor one as most researchers in the area continue to experience and is a quite fundamental one, touching upon very well established results, models and techniques.
